Here's what an F/A-18C Hornet might have looked like in French Aeronavale service (the French were actually considering buying Hornets, but then decided to develop a naval version of the Dassault Rafale instead):

Here's something a bit different I took the CW-21B Demon, re-drew it in Autocad, then put on the nose/engine from a different aircraft (also a Curtiss, the P-37) - just to see what it would look like. The result probably wouldn't fly in real life, but I think it looks kind of cool. I painted up a few with homages to 1930's racers.
