Belle: Hi, thanks for reaching out to Samsung tech support. How can I help you today?

William: Hi Belle. There was no option for the product I need support on. It is a SAMSUNG Spinpoint F1 HD102UJ hard drive

Belle: Hello! William.

Belle: I understand that you would like to know the information regarding Samsung hard drive. Is that correct?

William: Yes. I have a defective drive which is still in its warranty period and would like to have it repaired or replaced.

Belle: I apologize for the inconvenience.

Belle: Is it external hard drive?

William: 3.5" internal hard drive. Model Spinpoint F1 HD102UJ

Belle: That would be fantastic, thank you. <-------- wtf??

Belle: I'm sorry to say, all support services for Samsung hard drives are now being supported by Seagate Technology.

Belle: Seagate's support phone number, 1-800-SEAGATE.

Belle: Here is the Seagate's online support web site address.

Belle: Please click on the link below:

Belle: http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/about/contact_us

Belle: Are you able to access the link?

William: Yes, it opened

Belle: Once you contact Seagate's support you'll get the complete information.

Belle: Can I help you with anything else?

William: No thank you. That is all I needed.

Belle: You're welcome.

Belle: Have a nice day.

Belle: Thank you for chatting with us. If you have a minute, please click on the blue “X close” button to receive a transcript of your chat and fill out a brief survey to help us serve you better. Have a wonderful day!

Either she hit the wrong preset text button or Belle is a pretty sophisticated, yet imperfect chat bot.

Floyd, exactly what happened. That was my guess anyway. Unfortunately there are no time stamps because there was a good 4 or 5 minutes of down time after she hit that preset.

Anyway, drive is in a box and ready for the PO in the morning. I had 2 months left on the warranty according to Seagate

The other 4 of the drives have been up 100% time since I bought them all almost 3 years ago. I was going to use this one for a build and it wouldn't spin up. It was the spare for the array... so basically DOA but I never knew
