The list is long - I am looking for responses, or maybe you have a valid email
for one of these guys... and many others.

Dust_Bunny, Sniper, and so on.

Any of you still out there.

I use the 3D Pro under XP Professional. No problems. Haven't tried it on my Win 7 machine yet.

MS dropped gameport support in Vista/7, so you'll need one of Grendel's USB converters, which are specifically made for Sidewinder sticks. (Note: Standard gamport-to-usb adapters don't fully work with the 3DPro.)

Sir Rock...

I am actually making some of the Grendel 3DPro to USB right now.
I actually am having some little PCBs made.

I think I will have the cost including cable etc. So a fully functional
unit ready to go at $40 or $45 including shipping to you.

I have basically order enough parts to build 30. Well I haven't ordered
30 of the 'Teensy' board as they are $20 each. So I only ordered
5 of those for now.

I make nothing on these, but I knew that as I started beating the bushes to get
players back in the game - this would be an issue. I should have all the stuff
here by next Tuesday or Wednesday. So depending on how it is shipped
to you it could be there a week from Friday maybe.

Let me know when we talk, send me a check or whatever. We can sort it out.

One more time a big thanks to Grendel for his work.

If anyone else there would start playing again, but doesn't have the
ability to breadboard one of these things, let me know. Not looking to make money. Just break even and Get some players back

Yeah, mostly late night. I've joined those guys for a few games here and there... those games are rough, but thoroughly enjoyable. Cool

A few are. Though I have been sparse the last two weeks because I keep waking up at 5 am...

Normally about 10 or 10:30pm a few of us show up. By about 11pm when one guy gets home from work we get a game going.

Typhoon/The Game, Fusionpimp/BarryHillWastemore, me, sometimes Nirvana. Tweetybird and Grendel are regulars.

None of the other Asylum players are really coming around. I tried.
Birdseye hasn't even answered an email, Vander no longer plays, doesn't even have a joystick. Mayhem and Rock said they'd come play, but not yet.

He closed on a house at the end of April.
I think he moved in around the end of May.
He was painting, new carpet, etc.

Like many of us, the work he once loved
is now good and bad...

Over all he seems to be doing OK.

When we have been in games on Ventrilo, it is just like
10 or even 15 years ago... we have some laughs, with rather
raw humor.

That's pretty cool. Yeah, I thought about going into programming for my full time profession, but I know from my college classes that my perception changes when done as required work.

Is Nirvana still as insanely good as he was 10-15 years ago? Smile

Amazing how every time I check up on people in the Descent community, life seems to have moved forward so much for everyone! I may be engaged or married by the next time I come back to these forums! lol
